s AI Photography’s Biggest Threat — or Its Secret Weapon?

AI vs Photography: Evolution or Extinction?

The New Darkroom: Will AI Train or Replace Photographers?

AI Prompts, Pictures & Software

AI isn’t just challenging photography at the still image level the real disruption is in video.

More and more, I’m being asked to take my existing archive of stills and reimagine them as moving content. With AI, that’s no longer just a slideshow; it’s dynamic sequences, animated expressions, and entirely new edits pulled from work I shot years ago.

Brands and agencies want assets that live beyond a single campaign — they want motion, reels, and social-ready films. This means your backlog can suddenly become tomorrow’s campaign, but it also means fresh commissions are under pressure.

For me, this is both an opportunity and a warning: if photographers don’t learn to harness these tools themselves, someone else will. The choice is simple — adapt and become more than a photographer, or watch your archive get monetised without you.
